There is the tenderness of young romance budding bashfully, despite the humor and thoughtlessness of youth. There are the shenanigans of youngsters yelling from the windows, milling through the aisle, scrapping, singing, generally darkening the day for Yankee, the driver. There is the excitement of an impromptu "track meet." The action takes place sometimes inside and sometimes outside the bus. Romance and farce alternate deftly in this piece.
