Cast: 2m., 3w. Our first and best heroes were the great cowboy stars of the Saturday afternoon matinées. They were the undefeated ones who were always sure of themselves … while we were growing up and were never sure of ourselves. But, together, we would ride the range each week across a movie screen—tall and strong and always winners. Our great cowboy heroes, however, like our daydreams, all went "thataway." This play picks up the story of one of those heroes, living precariously in a California rooming house. He has to deal with the rent, irritated neighbors, and most of all with a world that has disappeared. A magnificent role for an actor with excellent supporting parts. Approximate Running Time: 45 minutes.
