The Heavenly Quarterback
Comedy by Leonard Wibberley

Cast: 16m., 4w. (10 others either men or women. Extras as desired.) A suprising prayer is rising to Heaven. It comes from Father John, principal of St. Toth's High School in Minnesota: "A beautiful state, full of lovely people," he concedes, "most of whom, alas, are Swedes and Protestants. And they're big. And in your wisdom you gave me for my high school mostly Mexicans who settled here through the years. And they're small. We haven't won a football game in thirty-five years!" Father John is so persuasive that Heaven evens the odds by dispatching the Archangel Michael to St. Toth's, and on the football field he's incredibly effective. The charming conclusion gives your audience two wonderful things to take away: a thought and a chuckle.
