KT Curran is an award-winning playwright, filmmaker and educator with numerous internationally published and produced films and plays that have inspired millions across the world. She is the founder and director of Wingspan Productions, Inc., a nonprofit film company that creates powerful and innovative films for social change. Curran’s work has been featured in film festivals across the U.S., Canada, France and Russia, as well as on television and the internet. She has won awards at Lady Filmmakers Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Fort Myers Film Festival, the Orlando Film Festival and the Sarasota Film Festival. She is also the winner of Sarasota Magazine’s 2020 Unity Award for creating initiatives that unify and unite the community, and recipient of the 2019 Women in Power Award by the National Council of Jewish Women. Curran has worked extensively as a playwright, educator, director, educational curriculum developer, consultant for the public schools and national consultant on educational theatre and film.
