Dean Slusser, over his 26 years of teaching and directing at the high-school and college levels, has responded to so many competitions and festivals that he has lost count. In the process, he has honed his skills and sensitivities and shared them through workshops and training sessions across the Southeast.
Slusser, who holds a master's degree in theatre from Bowling Green State University and a doctorate in educational administration from Georgia Southern University, currently serves as Fine Arts Director for Camden County Schools. He also has taught at the annual Southeastern Theatre Conference K-12 Teacher's Institute and served as president of the Georgia Theatre Conference. Among his many honors and awards are the Leighton Ballew Award for Distinguished Service to Theatre and induction into the Georgia Thespian Hall of Fame.
