Daria Polatin's full-length plays include Eggs in a Basket (2007 Princess Grace Award final round, 2007 Cherry Lane Mentor Project nominee), Here Or Now (reading at New York Theater Workshop starring Kathleen Chalfant), The Ideal Home and Skye Blue (workshop with Electric Pear Productions' The Outlet). Productions include Ninja: The Musical (Theatre Row, wrote book, music and lyrics for one-act, now being developed into a full-length with composer Joe Iconis), D.C. (Ensemble Studio Theatre, published by Dramatists Play Service), A Fair Affair (Culture Project/Women Center Stage, Kennedy Center/A.C.T.F., Winner Best One-Act Play, published by Dramatic Publishing in anthology Best Student One-Acts: Volume 7), Eden-Bore-Oh! (Hen and Chickens Theatre, London) and The Company Kept (Naked Angels Lab). Film and TV include feature screenplay commission Happen to Know (On the Leesh Productions), "The Ideal Home" (half-hour comedy, The N network) and "Spah" (half-hour comedy in development, Diorama Films). Polatin's education includes the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Boston University B.F.A. and Columbia University M.F.A. She is a member of the Royal Court Theatre's New York Playwright Residency, Youngblood and A.S.C.A.P. Awards include 2007 Wasserstein Prize nominee, Kennedy Center/A.C.T.F., Armenian International Women's Association, Bette Davis Foundation and Leopold Schepp Foundation. Polatin is currently writing a young adult novel for Alloy Entertainment.
