Barbara Wiechmann is a New York-based performer and playwright. Her work has been produced at P.S. 122; the Ensemble Studio Theatre; New York Theatre Workshop; BACA Downtown; HERE; the Ohio Theatre; the Samuel Beckett Theatre; the Edinburgh, Seattle, Toronto and Philadelphia Fringe Festivals; and at colleges and universities around the country. A two-time New York State Council on the Arts grant recipient and a Jane Chambers Playwriting Award finalist, she is also the creator of the television show for kids "Naturally Sadie" which aired on the Disney Channel for three seasons. In addition to being a New Dramatists alumnus, she is a New Georges Affiliated Artist and was a HERE artist in residence. Wiechmann is a graduate of Hamilton College, Clinton, N.Y. She currently resides in Brooklyn.
