Louise Thistle is a Literature Dramatization consultant who teaches students pre-school to grade 12. She also gives staff development training. She is an actor, author and director. She has taught teachers and prospective teachers at San Diego State University, Point Loma Nazarene College and Walla Walla College in Washington and in public schools in San Diego, the East Coast and London. She now teaches teachers at the University of California, San Diego. She is a consultant for San Diego city schools and a literature-writing instructor for San Diego community colleges. She is the author of Dramatizing Myths, Tales, Dramatizing Aesop's Fables, Dramatizing Greek Mythology and Dramatizing Mother Goose, all published by Smith and Kraus, Inc., and the bilingual acting picturebooks, Dramatizing the Little Red Hen, Dramatizing the Lion and the Mouse and Dramatizing the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Thistle has a B.A. in literature and education from Tufts University and an M.A. in drama for young people from San Diego State University.
