Robert Thomas Noll

Robert Thomas Noll has won over 34 national and international awards including a Silver Medal at the International Film and Television Festival of New York, a CINE Award and nine Emmy Awards. His 25 produced plays have been performed over 4000 times in ten countries. Five have been published. Three of his plays have aired on radio and one was taped and televised by NBC. In television, he has produced and written literally hundreds of programs including the nationally syndicated NBC series Hickory Hideout.

Five of his screenplays have been produced as films. One of them, Yell and Tell is distributed internationally by Films, Inc.

Noll is a Communications Instructor at John Carroll University. He also teaches playwriting at the Cleveland Play House. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Ursuline College, Cleveland State and Cuyahoga Community College. He has also been the Screenwriting Instructor for the Cleveland Filmmakers and Artist-in-Residence at the Cleveland School of the Arts.

He has been a Public Relations and Marketing Consultant for 20 Broadway shows. He has worked professionally at the Cleveland Play House, Hanna Theater, Kenley Players, Cleveland Ballet, Playhouse Square Center, Great Lakes Theater Festival and Musicarnival. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and has written and edited publications for the Education Department of Playhouse Square Center.

He also coordinates the annual Urban Journalism program with the Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Dramatist Guild.
