Mindy Manley Little first received recognition as a writer through a children's recording, originally done for her daughter's kindergarten class, entitled The Alphabet Operetta. This recording went on to be selected as one of the year's best by Entertainment Weekly and was also a Booklist Editor's Choice. It is now the recommended alphabet audio in The Best of the Best for Children. Spellbound: A Musical Play on Words takes up where The Alphabet Operetta left off, proving once again that humor and music can make education quite entertaining. Dubbed "an outstanding script" by Children's Book and Play Review, Spellbound is Little's first published musical-comedy.
