Ron Kaehler began his writing career as executive story editor at Abrams/Gentile Entertainment (NYC), where he wrote and developed many projects for children including the internationally syndicated television series Van-Pires. In addition to A Country Christmas Carol (Dramatic Publishing), his works for the stage include Stage Fright: A Ghost Story and the operatic farce Under the Overture. Kaehler has written six popular children's musicals based on the Amelia Bedelia books by Peggy and Herman Parrish as well as stage adaptations of books by Maurice Sendak, Kevin Henkes, Martha Brenner, Bernard Waber, Tomie de Paola and Eric A. Kimmel, among others. These theatrical versions, written in collaboration with Albert Evans, tour the country under the auspices of Theatreworks USA. Other works for young audiences include I Feel Great! The Health & Nutrition Show for Sweet Youth Productions. On the educational front, he served as editor of David Kaplan's highly praised text Five Approaches to Acting (West Broadway Press). He is a member of ASCAP and The Dramatists Guild.
