Flip Kobler (right) began his performing career as an actor before morphing into a writer. Since selling their first screenplay to Paramount Studios, Kobler and his wife/partner, Cindy Marcus, have been penning away for the last 15 years. Universal Studios also bought an original screenplay from the writing duo. Star Trek Deep Space Nine bought an episode entitled "Profit and Loss." Kobler and Marcus spent five years on staff at Disney where they wrote many a sequel. Most recently they finished the script to Doctor Dolittle 3 and are starting on an original movie for the Disney Channel. Kobler is also co-author of the theatrical textbook The Complete Guide to Church Play Production. His play Wild Dust is available through Samuel French. Teaming with composer Dennis Poore they've turned that show into Wild Dust…The Musical, also available through Samuel French. His plays, Brothers Grimm Out of Order, Usher, Jekyll and Hydes and Nottingham are available through Pioneer Drama. Kobler and Marcus have also written the soon-to-be released family film Jack and the Beanstalk starring Christopher Lloyd, James Earl Jones and Chevy Chase.
