Thomas Rieser started writing plays in the late 1980s. Progressing from writing dialogue for liturgical skits and one acts, he employed his talents in writing interactive murder mysteries for adults and interactive mystery puzzles for children. The participatory mysteries have been in production since 1991. The Legend of Sleeping Beauty is Rieser's first full-length play and first collaboration on a musical. After a long career in government, Rieser is now writing full time and is currently working on another full-length play as well as contest one acts while directing on the community level.
