Daphne Greaves is a graduate of the playwriting program at The Julliard School. She is the winner of the 2004 National Graduate Playwriting Competition and her historical drama Day of the Kings had its world premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre in January 2005. Other plays include Killing Time, Shade and Crash!. Greaves' plays have been seen at such theatres as the Public Theatre, The Women's Project, New Jersey Repertory, Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre and others. Her radio drama The African Grove aired on National Public Radio.
