Lynne Bartlett, Kevin O'Mara, Mark Leehy and David Billings, form the Bushfire Press writing team in Australia. They have backgrounds in classroom, drama and music teaching, as well as successful careers on stage and as songwriters and touring musicians. They've been writing shows for children and adults since the mid-'80s. They have written original musicals as well as adaptations of Gilbert & Sullivan, Shakespeare and Mark Twain and have worked in genres from Broadway to commedia dell'arte. In addition to their musicals, they have written and published plays, folk and social dance resources and music, recorder, guitar, singing, theory and integrated arts courses for elementary schools. Bartlett, Leehy and O'Mara are also the directors of Bushfire Press Pty Ltd., an Australian-based arts educational publishing house.
