Jennifer Kirkeby has been involved in theater as an actress, dancer, choreographer, director and teacher for many years. As an actor, she has performed in many theatrical productions, commercials and films. Kirkeby wrote Madeline's Christmas, which has been performed in theaters nationwide, and Dot and Tot of Merryland, based on the book by L. Frank Baum, both of which are published by Dramatic Publishing Company. Other plays to her credit include Eyes Wide Open, a play about eating disorders, Aladdin and His Magical Lamp, Harriet and Walt, a play about sibling rivalry, The Mitten by Jan Brett, and Midlife Madness, an adult comedy. Several of her monologues have been published by Smith and Kraus Publishing. She has been commissioned to write the musical The Paperbag Princess which will debut at Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins, Minn., during their 2008-2009 season.
